What we walked into
The worst slab in this set. A crack ran the length of the room and one side of it had settled below the other, leaving a step you could put a finger into. Not a surface problem. The slab had moved.
What we did
Opened up and treated the crack, then brought the low side back up with a levelling compound taken across the full width so the correction is gradual rather than a patch you can see. Ground it flat once cured, then a pale solid colour epoxy over the top.
What made it difficult
Deciding how much to correct. Levelling to a perfectly flat plane would have meant a very thick build up at one edge and a visible step at the doorway instead. The floor was brought back to flat enough that nothing rocks and nothing reads as sloped, which is the useful outcome rather than the theoretical one.
The result
A flat, sealed, single colour floor where four days earlier there was a crack with a step in it. The repair does not read through the coating.
