Flake Epoxy Garage Floor – Hermosa Beach
Jevan Araujo, owner, IT’S SO CLEAN CSLB #1071609
A two car garage in Hermosa Beach, done in two days, including the base.
| Location | Hermosa Beach, CA |
|---|---|
| Surface area | 400 sqft |
| Building | Residential Garage |
| Working area | Garage floor and coved base |
| Duration | 2 Working Days |
| Scope | Grind, Repair and Full Flake Broadcast |
What we walked into
A slab carrying everything a garage floor collects. Oil where the car had sat, rust staining, tyre marks worked into the surface, and patches where the concrete had been repaired at some point and never matched.
What we did
Ground the slab, repaired what needed it, then a full broadcast flake system in grey, black and white. Flake to refusal, which means the chips go down until the surface will not take any more, then the excess is scraped back and the whole thing is sealed. The coating runs up the wall base as a cove rather than stopping at a straight line on the floor.
What made it difficult
Nothing on this one, and it is worth saying so. A sound slab, a clear room, and a straightforward specification. Two days is what a 400 sqft garage should take when nothing is wrong.
The result
A floor with enough pattern in it to hide what a garage floor collects, and a coved base so there is no gap between floor and wall to sweep into.
