What we walked into
A section of the same body shop, with vehicles in the bays and the shop fit-out staying in place. The slab was in reasonable condition but flat and dull, with staining worked into the traffic lines.
What we did
Polished the slab overnight and pushed this one further up the grits than the workshop bays usually go, because the finished area reads as a customer-facing part of the shop.
What made it difficult
Working a live shop in sections means matching the finish to floor that was polished on a different visit. Getting a later phase to sit consistently against an earlier one is harder than doing the whole floor at once.
The result
A high-gloss floor that reflects the shop lighting and the vehicles standing on it, sitting continuous with the rest of the polished area.
