A thousand square feet of ground-floor office space in Los Angeles, polished in four working days.
| Location | Los Angeles, CA |

| Surface area | 1,000 sqft |
| Building | Commercial Office |
| Working area | Entire office space |
| Duration | 4 Working Days |
| Scope | Full Polished Concrete |
What we walked into
A stripped office unit behind a full-height glazed shopfront, with the slab bare and the saw-cut control joints running across it.
What we did
Ground and polished the slab straight through. With the storefront glazing on one side, the finish had to work in strong daylight, which shows up far more than artificial light does.
What made it difficult
Daylight is the toughest test of a polished floor. Low sun coming through a glazed front rakes across the surface and shows any swirl or unevenness that would never appear under ceiling lights.
The result
An even floor that holds up in direct daylight, with the joints reading as clean straight lines across the space.
