Polished Concrete – KB Home Office, Santa Clarita
Jevan Araujo, owner, IT’S SO CLEAN CSLB #1071609
Eight thousand square feet of office floor at a KB Home location in Santa Clarita, polished over fifteen night shifts while the building stayed in use by day.
| Location | Santa Clarita, CA |
|---|---|
| Surface area | 8,000 sqft |
| Building | Commercial Office |
| Working area | Entire office area |
| Duration | 15 Working Days (Night Shift) |
| Scope | Adhesive Removal and Full Polished Concrete |
What we walked into
Carpet lifted and the adhesive left behind in thick swirled patterns across the slab, with levelling compound over parts of it and the residue running up the wall bases.
What we did
Ground the adhesive and levelling compound off, then polished the slab underneath. Work ran overnight through corridors and open office areas so the floors were clear and usable each morning.
What made it difficult
Swirled adhesive sits at uneven thickness, so it releases in patches rather than evenly and the tooling loads up quickly. Doing that on a night-shift clock, in a building that had to open the next day, is what stretched this one to fifteen shifts.
The result
A reflective floor through the corridors and open areas. The existing cracks and floor boxes are still visible in it, because polishing finishes concrete rather than hiding what is in it.
