What we walked into
A finished room waiting on its floor – painted walls, artwork hung, suspended ceiling and lighting all in, with a plain grey slab underneath.
What we did
Polished the slab in place and took it up to a reflective finish, running the extraction hose out through the doorway to keep the machine work contained to the room.
What made it difficult
Rooms that are already decorated leave no margin. Walls, skirtings and hung artwork all had to come through untouched, which means the grinder never gets to run right up to the wall and the perimeter is finished by hand.
The result
A reflective floor that carries the ceiling lights in even rows down the length of the room, finished cleanly into every corner.
