What we walked into
Long straight corridors with the slab under heavy patchy residue – old adhesive and coating remnants in irregular blotches down the full length, worn into traffic lanes through the middle.
What we did
Ground the residue off and took the slab up through the grits corridor by corridor, cutting the edges in tight against the walls and doorframes.
What made it difficult
Corridors are unforgiving because you see the whole floor at once down a single sightline. Any inconsistency between passes reads immediately as a stripe, so the grit changes have to line up across every run rather than corridor by corridor.
The result
Mirror-finish corridors that reflect the ceiling line their full length. The patchy residue is gone and the floor reads as one continuous surface from end to end.
