Epoxy and polished concrete flooring in Long Beach
We have finished 55,000 square feet of floor in Long Beach: three floors at Thunder Studios, the VAST Aerospace facility, offices at the Convention Center, plus a restaurant kitchen, an auto shop and a laundromat. Commercial, industrial or residential, the process is the same. We look at the slab, tell you what it needs, and quote it.
Ten floors we have finished in Long Beach
Most of our Long Beach work has been commercial and industrial, and most of it has been polished concrete. The two epoxy jobs were both wet, high-traffic rooms where a coating made more sense than a polish.

Long Beach floors, finished
Which floor you actually want
Epoxy
Epoxy is a coating. It goes over the slab and seals it. That suits kitchens, wash bays, garages and anywhere that sees chemicals, oil or standing water. It comes in solid colours, flake or metallic. It is the right answer when the concrete underneath is unremarkable and you want a surface that wipes clean.
Polished concrete
Polished concrete is the slab itself, ground and refined until it shines. Nothing sits on top, so there is nothing to peel or chip. It takes forklift traffic and it lasts decades. It is the right answer when the slab is sound and you want the floor to be the finish.
If you do not know which one you want, that is normal. Tell us what happens in the room, what gets spilled, what drives over it and how often it gets washed, and we will tell you which one fits.
What we do around Long Beach
Warehouses and industrial
The Thunder Studios corridors were 18,000 square feet over 25 working days. VAST Aerospace was 9,000. On jobs this size the real question is staging: which sections we take at a time so you keep operating. We work that out with you before the first day, not during it.
Restaurants and commercial kitchens
Kitchen floors get hot water, grease and daily washdown. The Long Beach restaurant kitchen was 800 square feet and four working days, scheduled around service so the kitchen never lost a night.
Offices and retail
Three Convention Center offices, 400 to 1,000 square feet, two to five days each. Small polished areas carry more edge work per foot than open floors, which is why the price per square foot runs higher on a 400 sq ft room than a 4,000 sq ft one.
Garages
Straight answer: our Long Beach work so far has been commercial and industrial. The residential garages in our portfolio are in Irvine, Redondo Beach and Bel Air. Same crew, same materials, same short drive. A two-car garage typically runs $1,800 to $4,500 and takes two to four days depending on what the slab needs first.
What a Long Beach floor costs
These are the ranges we actually quote. What moves a job up the range is the condition of the slab, not the size of it.
Commercial polished concrete
$3 to $12+ per sq ft
Slab condition and the gloss level you specify set the number.
Commercial epoxy
$6 to $15 per sq ft
The coating system and how deep the prep goes set the number.
Garage and residential epoxy
$6 to $15 per sq ft
A two-car garage typically lands at $1,800 to $4,500.
Grind and seal with restoration
$3 to $8 per sq ft
How much repair the slab needs first sets the number.
Minimum project size is 400 square feet. Quotes are free and done on site. We would rather look at the slab than guess at it over the phone.

Common questions
How much does epoxy flooring cost in Long Beach?
Commercial epoxy runs $6 to $15 per square foot. A two-car residential garage typically comes in between $1,800 and $4,500. The spread comes down to how much prep the slab needs and which coating system the room calls for. We quote on site, free.
How long does it take?
Small rooms are two to four days. The 800 sq ft restaurant kitchen took four working days. Large industrial floors run longer: 18,000 sq ft at Thunder Studios took 25. You get a day count before we start, not after.
Do we have to shut down while you work?
Usually not. On bigger jobs we section the floor so you keep operating in the areas we are not in. On the Long Beach restaurant we worked around service so the kitchen never lost a night.
Epoxy or polished concrete for a warehouse?
Polished, in most cases. There is no coating to peel under forklift traffic and it lasts decades with nothing more than cleaning. Epoxy makes sense in a warehouse when there are chemicals or constant standing water.
